Achna Co. has many years in the American Industry in engineering, management and sourcing fields. We understand the market requirements, technology challenges, and product development needs that American companies have to face. The goal of the company is to provide clients with the best quality products at very competitive prices and timing.
We have four experienced quality mold shops in China and Taiwan: two in Shenzhen, one near Shanghai, and one in Kaohsiung. 60-100% of molds are exported to the USA or Europe. Mold shops are experienced with most thermoplastics, TPE, fiber composites, and additives. They are capable of various sizes, precision, multi-shots, decorative and high surface finish parts, thin-wall parts, and insert molding.
We also have one fixture shop located in Shenzhen, which was founded in 2003 and dedicated to making both check fixtures and automation equipment. 50% of products are exported to US and Europe.
In addition to Chinese mold and fixture shops, we have a local American tool shop partner as well. It helps with revision, repair and maintenance on both fixture, and new molds in the States as needed.

Overview
We are a Chicago-based representative company specialized in tooling and molds. We offer a variety of injection molds, die casting molds, and plastic parts. These include: insertion, compression molding, one-, two-, or three-material molding, and over molding. We represent a number of high quality mold suppliers overseas in China and beyond. Our partnered American mold builders provide tool cleaning, sample runs, as well as repair when needed.

We have bilingual project engineers in USA who have worked in Fortune 500 company for 10+ years who can understand American culture and communicate effectively with you. Our high-quality engineers in Asia closely monitor quality and ensure on-time delivery.
Process
We’ll start a project by doing some part analyses, ensuring your part is toolable, and communicating our feedback to you to make part modifications if needed. Once the part design is finalized, engineers in Asia will design your molds, send 2D and 3D mold designs, and get them approved by you. We use DME standard mold bases, including MUDs, for most products. During the mold building process, we will provide weekly progress reports to you. Once the mold is built, we will mold sample parts in Asia, if there’s any problem with the sample parts, we’ll modify the mold and send you some sample parts again, and repeat this iteration until the sample parts are approved by you. Once the molds are in the USA, our local shops can help you clean the tool and do trial runs as needed. Our molds are all made of best quality steels and we provide warranties for tool life of 1 million cycles or more. In the unfortunate cases that the mold breaks with wear and tear, our local repair shops can provide timely repairs, typically within one day, so that your production downtime will be reduced to a minimum.
Our Founder
C. "Connie" Zhou
Connie Zhou founded Achna Co. in 2011 after discovering a gap in the market during her years as a corporate engineer for low-cost, high-quality molds. In her current role as President of the firm, Connie continues to oversee client engagement in the USA while maintaining strong relationships with Chinese suppliers. She has extensive experience in the automotive, healthcare, and packaging industries after completing several hundred molds since 2011.
Before founding Achna Co., Connie was a corporate engineer at Illinois Tool Works (ITW) for over 11 years. She holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, USA , as well as a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Power Engineering from HuaZhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan of China.
